Dear Little Frankies/Frank,

First let me say how much I adore going to Little Frankie’s! My husband and I discovered it 4 or 5 years ago when we were in NY for an evening and since then it has been far and away my favorite restaurant ever! I love everything about it — the atmosphere, the food, the location, the music, the relaxed yet professional attitude — everything.

I am Italian myself and of the family I gew up with is gone now, which is perhaps why I feel strongly about your restaurant; it reminds me of home and my family’s wonderful cooking. My absolute favorite is the lemon and paremesan speghetti, but we also love the pizza and salads and specials. Your fava bean and chicoria soup tastes exactly like something my Grandma Icolari used to make. She was an amazing cook who used only the best, most authentic ingredients, usually from her garden. We love Little Frankie’s so much we never even bothered to try any of your other restaurants! Little Frankie’s is infamous at house. We’ve brought virtually all our friends and family (from my husband’s side, from as far as away as Ireland!) to Little Frankie’s.

I should mention here that I’ve never written a letter like this in my life. But in all the times we visited your restaurant, I’ve never seen you; otherwise I would say all this to you in person. One day perhaps when we’re in town we’ll meet you. I would enjoy shaking your hand.
